Testimonials

The High Performance HP training that Pro Teach has provided Andrew Johnston, our son, has not only helped create a daily fitness and training discipline but has given him an incredible advantage on his baseball team, the Ontario Terriers. Geoff and Denny have used their expert knowledge of baseball to give Andrew a motivating, challenging and focused approach to fitness and training. Here's what Andrew's Terriers trainers have had to say: "He had the best fitness results from September to March in putting on lean muscle mass on the 15U team - 17 pounds!" "Andrew made huge improvements on his 10 and 30 yard sprint times. He dropped .17 seconds of his 10 and a whopping .36 seconds of his 30. The best improvement for 30yard sprint time on the 15U team" We think those quotes say it all. Pro Teach not only teaches Andrew how to be a more disciplined and respectful young baseball player but they get results. Michael Johnston

==== The High Performance Program offered in conjunction between ProTeach and TDSB has been fantastic for our son. He has been a part of it for two years now and really enjoys the HP program. It has been a great way for him to start his day. He is always motivated in the morning to get out the door and get to HP! He loves the workouts, the camaraderie, and the trainers. He feels invigorated and focused for the rest of the day because of his morning training regimen. Being in the HP program has created noticeable improvements in both his baseball skills as well as his overall strength and conditioning. To boot, the HP program has also helped our son's character develop and mature. His work ethic has improved, both in athletics and in his approach to school learning. His attention to the details required for time management, developing organizational skills, and taking responsibility for himself have all been fostered within the HP Program, too. Pro Teach itself is a fully-equipped baseball training facility and the coaching staff is not only experienced, but also thoroughly "know their stuff". They apply their expertise to periodic evaluations and individual player feedback, which helps us, as parents, continually be aware of our son's progress and developmental areas. At times, their continued commitment to their participants shows when they come out to the boys' games to see how the boys put their training to work out in the field, on the mound, or at bat. We would highly recommend any interested baseball player to take the step to training year-round through the High Performer Program at ProTeach/TDSB.

Our team has gained so much from working with Denny and the Proteach guys. Our kids are young but the instructors do a great job of breaking down skills in an understandable way for them. And they get a lot done in a short time! The improvement was noticeable, and the kids had a lot of fun too.

We cannot overstate our gratitude to the Etobicoke Rangers’ coaches and Pro Teach team. Their passion for baseball and commitment to player development is evident in all they do. From arranging Catcher Classes to Information Sessions with university coaches, they have provided a very solid foundation for our son as he pursues his baseball goals. Their extensive contact network and personal experience of playing in the U.S., really helped us navigate an otherwise unfamiliar transition process. The positive coaching and individual mentoring that Cipriano has received through the years as a Rangers player will have a lasting impact on all he does in the future. Thank you for everything!

Our son Nick has been playing for the Etobicoke Rangers for the past nine years and has truly developed his baseball skills, as well as, his knowledge of the game. We would like to sincerely thank the Etobicoke Rangers organization and wonderful coaching staff for their many years of dedication and commitment to helping our son get closer to reaching his dreams of playing professional baseball.

Last fall my son made a decision to try out and was selected for the Etobicoke Rangers at the Midget Elite level. Since becoming a Ranger I have noticed a lot of changes in my son both as a player and a person since joining the Rangers and the Proteach programs. As a pitcher my son has increased his velocity and harnessed his command of the strike zone which has translated into great success on the mound this season. As a baseball player my son has also learned the Proteach approach to hitting which has provided my son with the most successful hitting year he has experienced in his Rep years of baseball. Denny and the staff at Proteach are the whole package. From specific baseball skills training, strength and conditioning training, seminars and showcases with top coaches from Canada and the USA, assistance in the recruiting process finding baseball player placement in colleges and universities both in Canada and the USA, and the list goes on. The Etobicoke Rangers and Proteach experience has been the best decision my son has made for himself in baseball. As a father that has watched my boy in baseball over the years, this year has been special. My son is more confident than ever and it has taken his game to that next level. The growth as a player and a person is such a pleasure to witness. Thank you Denny and everyone that has helped take part in the personal growth that was gained this year. Just awesome!!

Our team spent the past 5 months weekly with Tony from Pro Teach. Our team and coaches could not be happier with the results. Drills were changed up weekly, proving challenging and developing the players as a team with a good mix of fun and discipline. Tony kept training balanced and effective were as other programs we have been through gave way too much complex instruction which players found difficult to execute and in the end it did not pay off. Not the case at Pro teach, the right mix of fielding, batting, pitching through challenging yet fun drills and always taking my wishes as a coach into consideration when training the players. Deni was a pleasure to deal also, great communication and pricing. Kids loved it and our team has finally found a home after 2 years and 2 poor facility experience. Thanks guys!

For 2 years I have had a group of 7-9 year olds attend Pro Teach for skill building. Each time the players have progressed. What impresses me the most is how the instructors relate to the young children. They make the skill building entertaining and treat the kids very well. I recommend Pro Teach to any coach with players in the similar age category.

Royal York Cardinals Midget A The foundation of my teams Off Season Program the last 3 years has been based out of Pro Teach Baseball in Etobicoke & the facility is top notch. Two hitting cages, two mounds & a huge fielding space make this the place to be for baseball programs in the GTA. Very passionate and dedicated staff make the experience first class and their not afraid to lend a helping hand. Our program has been in City Championship Finals the past 2 seasons with an OBA birth in 2015 & a big part of the that is the work and preparation we were able to put in at Pro Teach. If you've never been to this facility or simply looking to be a better ball player in specific areas of the game, head over to PT and get involved with Denny & The Gang!

I would just like to tell you how much Salvatore enjoyed his time with your team. I was also impressed with the quality of the instructors and how much he was able to learn in that short period of time. I've had the opportunity to compare your teachings to those at other baseball centes.  I have to say that your instructors are the best. I will be back with Salvatore in the fall for more classes. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience and kudos to your staff. Have a great summer!

I am the head coach of two Rep baseball teams in Thornhill, Minor Midget and Major Mosquito AA. I started to look for a baseball facility that I could take both teams to during the winter months and it seemed no matter who I spoke with, all I kept hearing about was how good Proteach was from the instructors right up to the Owner Denny Berni. Being in Thornhill, there was some resistance from our parents to drive to Etobicoke once a week, but once they saw the facility and the professionalism of the staff, players and parents looked forward to the weekly workout. As well, the age difference between the two teams is 5 years, yet the staff tailored the drills to the age group and related to both the 16 year olds and the 11 year olds equally. Overall a great experience.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Denny Berni and his staff at Pro Teach. Once again this past Nov we joined together to put on a Showcase and pitching clinic to show young players how the game of baseball in evolving at The University of British Columbia. The Showcase has allowed us the chance to evaluate and discuss the opportunity to play for the top univeristy in Canada. Once again this year the Showcase opened the door for a couple players to become a part of the Thunderbird baseball program at UBC. Recently this month UBC offered Letter of Intents to Austin Gerow LHP (Etobicoke Rangers) and Sean Collie INF (Toronto Mets) and both players have signed to attend UBC in the fall of 2015. UBC is still in the recruiting stages and still have interest in a few more players that attended the Showcase. Again this happened because of the hard work of Denny and the Pro Teach group to open the doors for young players to be evaluated and learn about the opportunities at UBC. A very big thanks,

Hey Denny I want to thank you and your crew at Pro Teach. Oscar is four games into his first year of house league and the fundamentals he learned this winter and spring with your guys have made a huge difference. Today he decided he was ready to give pitching a try. His coach, who was a pitcher back in the day, commented on Oscar's pitching form. He's definitely a better and more confident player thanks to Pro Teach.

I have known Denny and Pro Teach since 2008 when my son used Pro Teach for some hitting training way back in his Rookie Ball days for Bloordale. He has now progressed to Minor Bantam with the Etobicoke Rangers and he regularly uses the fall and winter Strength, Pitching and Hitting programs. I have seen with my own eyes the huge development that he has made and I truly contribute this to the quality of the instructors at Pro Teach. Now as Head coach of the Bloordale Major Mosquito AA team, it was a no brainer to bring my team to Pro Teach for the last two winters. Denny works in collaboration with the coaches, allowing me to tailor the instruction for my team. As a coach I can have the option to be on the field and help or I can step back and take time to access the players. I can then work with the instructors to make adjustments to the training going forward. The instructors are positive, knowledgeable and even when correcting mistakes, make the entire workout enjoyable for the players. As a coach I have “borrowed” many of the drills and have used them in my own practices. I highly recommend the Denny, the Pro Teach Baseball facility and all his Instructors.

For the last two years the North Toronto Athletics A team (now Bantam) have used Pro Teach for our winter training and some of our players use them for 1:1 training. Denny and his team of instructors have been great working with our guys in all facets of baseball. In addition, each player has been given drills that address their own specific "areas for improvement" that they can work on in their own time. The focus on fundamentals and individualized attention has gone a long way to improving our overall skills and preparing us for the season.

Denny, The program and facility exceeded our expectations and your promises. The help, tools and facilities are all available for a player who wants to take full advantage to the fullest to become the best player they can be given their God given talents. It is up to each player, within a team environment, to utilize his efforts, time and commitment to excel as a player. We thank all Pro Teach employees and Denny Berni for his tutelage and commitment to helping our son reach his goals of improving and applying at a US college. Regards,

Our son Alex has accepted a scholarship offer to attend Kansas City Community College and he started school in August of 2013. Alex is a “home grown” product of the Etobicoke Baseball Association having started T-Ball in Rexdale Baseball back in 2001, and he has been part of the Etobicoke Ranger program since 2006. Over the years with the Rangers, he has been part of many successful teams. He has enjoyed the balance of competition and skill development all within a positive environment. As the players have grown older, the focus on competition and skill development has grown however never with a “win at all costs” mindset. After Bantam, there is a plethora of places to play baseball with many claiming to have an “elite program”. Alex decided to stay with the Rangers and he has been very happy with his decision. Having staff on the Rangers that have played professionally and/or US collegiate baseball gives them the “street cred” that can relate to the players. The Rangers have advocated that hard work will give each player opportunities to further their playing careers (if that is what they desire), and it is this work ethic that we believe are life lessons as well. Many thanks to Denny and Matt all the coaches and staff at Pro Teach and Etobicoke Baseball over the years for the mentoring of our son AND of course the many years of enjoyment at the ball diamond.

Our 2012 North Toronto Athletics Major Peewee team calls Pro Teach baseball home for our team Winter and Spring training. Denny and his team of professional baseball instructors have improved our team immensely over the past few years. There are several places for teams to train in the GTA but Pro Teach is the only option to get the Pro experience. We have several players attend the Advanced Pitching clinics led by lead Pitching Instructor Roman Kula and have seen incredible results both in their accuracy and velocity. There is no better Pitching instructor in Ontario than Roman. He cares immensely for his students and never tires in spending extra time explaining the mechanics of a great Pitcher. Results are what matters and Proteach delivers.

Our Sons' dream was to go to a quality school in the States where he could play baseball and thanks to Denny his dream is a reality. He helped him get to a great school with an excellent baseball program. Denny and his coaching staff are great people who provide top notch training and honest, sound advice. Our only regret is that we didn't meet them sooner. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Denny, his Coaches at Proteach and the Etobicoke Baseball Association. Hard work and dedication does pay off .

Prospects North has successfully helped me connect with Western Texas College, a Division 1 Junior College in Snyder, Texas. I attended a Prospects North Showcase hosted by Pro Teach Baseball at their indoor facility in January where a report was written and sent to the Head Coach at WTC. I would like to thank Prospects North for the opportunity they gave me to showcase my skills for WTC.

The 1998(mosquito) Etobicoke Rangers had a very successful 2009 season. Among the teams accomplishments were reaching the finals in four out of five tournaments (winning three), and culminating in an OBA Championship in September. The team would like to acknowledge and thank Denny Berni of Pro Teach Baseball for his invaluable support of the team. Our season starts early every January at the Pro Teach indoor facility where Denny and his staff of instructors do a great job of preparing the team for the coming season. It takes a lot of hard work and the contributions of many to have success in anything and we are fortunate to have the backing of Pro Teach Baseball.

Alex Dannett played four years Triple A baseball for the Brampton Royals and three years for the Mississauga Tigers. He first played fall ball in 2008 for Denny Berni’s Pro Teach Baseball team. This was the most significant and rewarding experience for him. Coach Denny has made a tremendous impact in Alex’s athletic career for reason being there are collages and universities that are very interested in him to attend their school on a scholarship. Within the short time period Alex played for Coach Denny it is remarkable what has transpired. No other coach has propelled Alex and his baseball career like Denny Berni. Pro Teach Baseball is an extremely well balanced organization that produces excellent results in players to reach the next level.

As Toronto's premiere elite baseball programme the Toronto METS require a first class indoor training facility which also offers outstanding Instructors to supplement our own coaching staff. We found both at Pro Teach Baseball. The PITCHING AND HITTING facilities are first rate and the specialized Instruction classes for catchers and conditioning are key components of the METS programme. The Toronto Mets are proud to partner with Pro Teach Baseball.

For the last several years all three of my sons have participated in ProTeach Baseball's camps, offseason programs, fitness sessions and summer league Elite Teams. Over the course of that time I have been extremely happy with the experience. ProTeach offers a rare combination of top notch instruction of the highest level, along with a great fun baseball experience. All of the ProTeach Coaches and Instructors exhibit a wealth of baseball knowledge when working with the young players, but it is the way that they make the instruction sessions fun and interesting for the players that really is most impressive. They are also very adept at tailoring the level of communication to the age and level of the players in each specific session. For the younger players it is all about teaching basic skills and having fun and for the older, more skilled players it is more about fine tuning specific baseball skills and improving to move on to higher levels of play. Each instructor has a baseball background ranging from the local Elite level through the U.S. College Level and even at the professional and Major League Level. I believe it would be rare to find this high level of experience in a group of baseball people anywhere else in Canada. My son Michael just committed to an excellent Jr. College in New York State and we certainly give part of the credit for his baseball advancement to the ProTeach experience. The coaches from his college of choice attended a ProTeach College Showcase event where they had a chance to see Michael in action. Denny Berni and his crew are also well respected by college coaches as baseball people who honestly recommend players capable of competing at that level. I would wholeheartedly endorse and recommend ProTeach Baseball for anyone interested in giving his or her child the opportunity to learn the skills of baseball from great instructors in a fun and interesting setting.

I have been involved with Pro Teach Baseball & Denny Berni for the last 3 seasons. My team has worked there way up from Select from year 1 to a AA/AAA Baseball club presently. A lot of our success has to do with the training the team has received from Denny & his instructors. I use the program in winter & he runs a week long training clinic with my club. The instruction my team receives is by far one of the top training programs in Ontario. A Major League facility that is second to no one. We have tried other programs, but nothing compares. This is one of the best teaching facilities; I have sent players to Pro Teach and will continue to do so. The most approachable group of hands on instructors I have ever been associated with. I highly recommend Pro Teach Baseball facilities and instructors.

Our baseball team, the 2009 Brampton Royals AAA Major Peewee team has been training at ProTeach since January of this year. The facility is first class, with plenty of room to work on all aspects of the game (catching / pitching / hitting / fielding). The players have commented that the instructors explain each drill in a way that is easy for them to understand and always make corrections, if they are doing something wrong. The atmosphere is positive and the drills are challenging to them. As a coach, I like the curriculum because it allows me to sit back and observe what the instructors are teaching the players. I have learned a great deal from the instructors at Pro Teach. I will use this to improve the skill set of my players and look forward to a successful baseball season. Our team will definitely be returning to Pro Teach for further instruction.

Marcello has been going to ProTeach for the past nine years. He has attended the summer camps, the fall league and the training programs during the fall, winter and spring, all of which are superior training programs. Coach Denny and his instructors have been great. Marcello played on Coach Denny’s baseball team for two years. Marcello has had the opportunity to train with all the instructors at the facility. The facility itself is top notch with pitching mounds, batting cages and a large workout area. Each instructor brings with them many years of experience in baseball. Not only has my son learned the skills of baseball but he has also grown as a person. Thanks to Coach Denny and his instructors – Bobby, Andy, Tommy, Alex, Mark, Adam and Roman, Marcello has had several offers to junior colleges across the US and has signed with a junior college in the State of New York.
