Eddie McKiernan is from the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California and was a standout player at Monrovia High School. As a high school player he was named CIF Player of the Year and helped to bring the Wildcats a CIF State title in 2006. With over 20+ Division 1 scholarships as a pitch/shortstop he committed to a full ride scholarship to The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 2007, McKiernan was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 17th round. He played 6 seasons with the Angels as a starting and relief pitcher and with the Arizona Diamondbacks for 2 seasons. During his career he was a Arizona Fall League all star, was a Major league camp invitee and reached the Triple A level in 3 different seasons. 


McKiernan began his coaching career at Monrovia High in 2007 during his MLB off season. McKiernan has coached and owned with Play Hard Baseball facility from 2007-2017. Many youth, high school, college and professional level players have worked with McKiernan, and he has helped over 100+ student-athletes achieve their goal of playing baseball college and professional level. In 2018 and 2019 he was the Head Coach at La Salle High School in Pasadena California. In 2018, he took his team to the State finals and was name Co Coach of the year.
